The program will welcome 100 emerging African leaders (18-35years) to Monrovia, Liberia from November 23-27, 2020.
The program will focus on the following: Leadership Development, Campaign Planning, Gender and Governance, Election Management, Administrative Accountability and Local Governance.

Since April 2016, 530 young politicians and activists from across Africa have participated in the program and making tremendous impact.

By applying for the YPLS Africa program, you will gain five days access to inspiring, educative and interactive training sessions, breakfast and lunch each day, and access to our professional networking reception.

The YPLS Africa is a Political Leadership and Campaign Training Program for Emerging African Leaders. The program convenes young politicians and youth activists with a passion for supporting good governance, policy advocacy, fostering transparency in government, and mobilizing their communities to ensure that government officials are accountable to the people. Participants network with like-minded peers to acquire the skills they need to play an active role in the political and governance processes in their respective countries. The YPLS Africa is a great platform to democratically transform the African continent and improve democratic governance through well experienced, accountable, accessible and responsive young African leaders. YPLS Africa, cross boundaries and break political barriers that affect young people’s political participation and help them claim their economic, political, social and leadership rights. This is an opportunity for you to be the positive change maker you have desired. At the YPLS Africa, we don’t discriminate against fellows based on race, color, ethnic backgrounds, religion or disability.

 Over the course of three months, fellows will engage in a series of theoretical and interactive exercises designed to develop their knowledge and political leadership skills. The program includes 10 weeks of group discussions, field trips, and civic engagement activities, a one-week intensive classroom lecture series in Monrovia, Liberia, ongoing coaching and mentorship from staff, and a personalized leadership development plan.

​The Young Political Leadership School Africa (YPLSA) is a political organizing, leadership development and campaign training program for emerging young African leaders established in April 2016 by Naymote Partners for Democratic Development.
