YPLSA Commences Interview

Candidates for the Cohort Eleven (11) class of the Young Political Leadership School Africa (YPLSA) have begun their interviews at the Naymote-Liberia offices in Paynesville City. A total of 1,117 (one thousand one hundred seventeen) applications were received from 24 (twenty-four) countries, with 70% of the applicants being local and 30% being international, with 56% of the applicants being between 25-35 years of age and 44% between 18-25 years of age, and of the total applicants, we have 60% Male and 40% Female. The training will take place in August 2024.


The Young Political Leadership School Africa (YPLS-Africa) is an initiative that helps to develop a new generation of character-driven political and socially active leaders who are accountable, responsive, and accessible to the needs and interests of their citizens so that their respective countries can develop positively in the future.

In the event of completion of the training, each fellow is engage in a series of theoretical and interactive exercises intended to improve their knowledge and skills for playing a greater role in political affairs over the course of a year.

 

YPLSA students participate in a one-week professional development training program that enables them to improve their skills in organizing, planning, and implementing political campaign events, as well as their leadership, management, communication, and networking abilities.

 

A number of post-training activities are encouraged after the fellows have completed their training, including policy dialogue, debates, town hall meetings with stakeholders, radio programs that promote democracy and good governance, civic education in schools and communities, and online engagements.
